When Shelley's glove got caught feeding cardboard through a slitter at work, the machine pulled her left hand in and crushed it in the rollers. Then her employer tried to make things even harder.
Shelley is a material handler who suffered a serious crush injury on the job. Even with a clear workplace injury, her ex-employer tried to fight her claim. In her own words: "Especially when my ex-employer was trying to screw me around — we ended up winning anyway."
Her bottom line: "He did a really good job at getting me a settlement and I would recommend him to anybody."
If your employer is fighting your workers' comp claim after a serious injury — you may have more legal options than you realize.
